Ziegenbock

- Well-known and little known facts:

  • Ziegenbock Amber is a true Texas beer found only in Texas and brewed in Houston, TX.
  • It’s parent company Anheuser-Busch sponsors a music festival every year called Ziegfest.  The festival typically features a number of different bands  and takes place in Texas.  The 2009 tickets cost $16 for the October event.
  • The beer was first brewed in 1995.
  • Shiner Bock

    - Well-known and little known facts:

    • Brewed in Shiner, TX located in Texas Hill Country.  It is brewed by the Spoetzl Brewery which is owned by the Gambrinus Company.
    • The Spoetzl Brewery is also called the “Little Brewery in Shiner”.
    • Shiner aka the “Cleanest Little City in Texas” is a very small town of only 2.4 square miles.
    • With the exception of a few states in the Northern US, Shiner is sold almost everywhere in the country.  It is sold in 41 states.
    • Shiner is not sold in  Oregon, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachussetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine.
